Comcast vs. Direct TV - Which way should I go?
*feel free to skip my rant and go straight to voting*
I currently am a Comcast customer and really don't have too much to complain about. Well, I don't like the pricing schemes they come up with. Seems, that after all these years, I'm not eligable for any of the new pricing plans. Nor, can I not adjust my channel lineup to adjust said pricing without losing ALL of my favorite channels. Apparently, you can't have one good premium channel without all the other crappy channels (which they charge you for).
As with most, I'm trying to cut back on costs and one of the ways I have identified to do this is to cutback on my cable bill as I spend a truck load of money on Comcast monthly. And it truly is just cable, I don't do phone or internet with them. So, after a frustrating call its come down to either me telling them that I'm switching to Direct TV or combine phone, internet AND cable to get a discounted pricing.
What sucks about that is I know nothing about Direct TV, so I wouldn't go saying something as brash as I'm switching. As well as, I've gone the internet route once before with Comcast and it was disastrous! They blamed the internet issues on 'inside wiring'. Whatever. So, if internet no work then their internet phone will no work too. Anyhow, I use Verizon for phone and internet and never have any issues. And, of course Verizon does a bundled package with Direct TV that will, not only give me the exact channels I want, but will save me over $100.00 a month!!! Sure, on the savings alone its a no brainer, right? Well, I don't want to go from bad to worse if you know what I mean.
Please feel free to comment with your opinions and thoughts... oh, and don't forget the poll! ~therev
